Accepted Solution

Hi Eileen,

Please open the key-in dialog and enter :

expand echo $(MS_FONTPATH)

Then open the Message Center.

This should show that MS_FONTPATH resolves to:

C:\ProgramData\Bentley\AECOsimBuildingDesigner V8i Ss6\WorkSpace\System\symb

Please look in this folder and let us know if you see a file:

font.rsc, dated 23 Dec 2008, size 592kb

This file contains the basic Bentley vector fonts.

If this file is not present or has been changed, that could be the explanation for the missing symbols. (Normally there are four .RSC files in this folder.)

If this file is not present or a different size/date, you could copy the equivalent file from the other workstation to your own. Note, such a difference may indicate that other things may have been cahged too.

Presumably if you change the active font to a common TrueType font such as Arial the symbols are present?
