Hi, I'm checking this fin plate shear connection using LIMCON software and the thing is it consider the shear force acting in the contact surface between the fin plate and the girder web when it comes to check the bolt group, and this will result in creating a moment on the bolt group and it will increase the horizontal force on the bolts but it only does this when I define some axial forces, otherwise if I put the axial force equals to zero it defines the vertical and horizontal force equals to shear force and this results in a horizontal force doing some horizontal bearing and tearout stresses on the bolts which is not actually exist. So, my question is how to solve this problem, or how I put the shear force so that to act in the center of the bolt group.
