Question

default color table

Today I was tasked with working on a drawing that was created using TxDOT (Texas DOT) standards and I typically work using TDOT (Tennessee DOT) standards. When I opened the drawing I found that all the colors were very dark and I work with a black background so the elements were very difficult to see. After poking around I found that the color table originally in the drawing was the Microstation default. I also work with ArDOT and their color table is different from both TDOT and TxDOT yet when I open an ArDOT drawing in my TDOT workspace the ArDOT color table is there.

Why then does the TxDOT color table not load from the drawing that was created using that set of standards? Can a color table be loaded from a library instead of being attached to a drawing? (This would explain why the drawings are using the Microstation default color table when I open them.)

Thanks in advance,

Terry Holt
