Print dng to pdf as vector instead of raster

I export drawings as pdf:

File - Print - Print to PDF

Is possible that lines and fillings are saved as vectors instead of raster (bitmaps) into the pdf? Or pdf doesn't allow such thing at all?

I'm curious because exporting as pdf forces me to carefully choose drawing and printing settings each time:

  • printing scale
  • printing Precision in driver properties
  • scaling dashed or dotted lines so dashes and dots can be seen for given printing scale (Home - Manipulate - Scale)
  • minimum line weight for a level is 1 and is too thick for certain scales, and 0 too anyway and details can't be seen

Any idea if this can be done at all? I can't distribute the dgn for viewing, since can reveal unintended data and it's not as widely and natively implemented as pdf (for example Android and iOS don't support .dgn natively while pdf they do). Also "Bentley View" requires a dedicated install while pdf can be viewed in default web browsers for desktop OSes.
