Problem Description
When CONNECTION Client displays, the User Name field on the sign-in page is pre-populated with an email address and cannot be changed if the user wants to sign in as someone else.
Steps to Resolve
In most cases, clearing cached data will resolve the issue.
- Right-click on the Windows Start menu, and select Run from the contextual menu.
- Execute the following command, including quotes:
"%temp%\Bentley.STS.Client" - Delete the EBWebView folder in the window that appears.
If the issue persists, and the user's email domain is federated with Bentley, the following steps may also help:
- Right-click on the Windows Start menu, and select Task Manager from the contextual menu.
- Click on the Details tab.
- End the task for Bentley.Licensing.Service.exe followed by Bentley.Connect.Client.exe.
- Close Task Manager.
- Right-click on the Windows Start menu, and select Run from the contextual menu.
- Execute the following command, including quotes:
"%CommonProgramFiles%\Bentley Shared\CONNECTION Client\Bentley.Connect.Client.exe" /noautosso
