ContextCapture Detects Duplicate GPU's causing Failed Matching Pairwise Error
You have installed 2 GPU but when you look in ContextCapture settings 4 are detected:
As a result of this ContextCapture production fails with a “Failed:Matching photos pairwise error”.
The cause of this issue is no due to any problem with ContextCapture but will often happen after the installation of an update. The main cause is due to the installation/update the new Nvidia driver.
To remedy the problem, please take following steps:
1. Uninstall the NVidia driver (Control Panel > Uninstall or change a program, then select “NVIDIA Graphics Driver”, right click and choose Uninstall/Change.)
2. Restart the computer, login to Windows and do nothing. Wait for about 15 minutes, during this time Windows will try to install its NVidia driver. If the screen becomes black, then hard reboot the computer
.
3. Restart the computer after waiting. Normally Windows will have finished installing its NVidia driver.
4. ContextCapture Settings should now report the right number of GPU’s for Vulkan:
In brief: If you have this issue and have Vulkan is enabled to use Multi GPU; you must not install the NIVIDIA driver. You need to let Windows install find and install the correct driver. Simply uninstall the NVIDIA Driver and wait for Windows to complete the process.
